Nagpur: Aspiring model killed by her boyfriend on suspicion of her character

In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old aspiring model was allegedly killed by her boyfriend on suspicion of her character in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. The police also said that the accused was arrested.

The deceased has been identified as Khushi Parihar, a resident of Nagpur and the accused Ashraf Sheikh.

As per a police official they had received information on Saturday morning about a body of a woman with her face crushed lying along Pandhurna-Nagpur highway. The police had identified the body through social media.

The police also added that the woman used to participate in the local fashion show and wanted to become a model.

As per the police, the accused has confessed that he has killed Khushi because he had suspected her character and closeness with some youths. The police said that Sheikh was arrested later.

It appears that Sheikh travelled with Parihar in his car on July 12 and later allegedly killed her by crushing her head at Savli Fata near Pandhurna-Nagpur highway, said, a police official.

A murder case has been registered by the Nagpur police into the matter and the accused has been arrested. Further probe into the matter is underway.
