The Maharajganj session court recently ordered to issue a notice to Uttar Pradesh Chief Mnister Yogi Adityanath in connection with a 19-year-old murder case of Satya Prakash Yadav, a personal Security officer of Congress leader Talat Aziz.

Speaking to Newsd over the involvement of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yogi Adityanath into the murder case of her security officer Satya Prakash Yadav, Talat Aziz told, “on February 10, 1999, when I was associated with Samajwadi Party, my party members and I were protesting against the BJP government in UP. A red sumo car taking the then Gorakhpur BJP MP Yogi was passing through Dharampur crossing in Maharajganj where we were protesting.”

“It was then, that the goons supported by Adityanath tried to open fire at me. While my personal security guard Satya Prakash managed to save me from the cross firing, he himself got shot to death,” said, now the Congress leader, Talat Aziz.

Mentioning about the FIRs lodged against Yogi, Talat told that she got an FIR lodged against Adityanath on various charges including murder and attempt to murder at the Kotwali police station in Maharajganj.

“A few days later, the state government transferred the investigation of Crime Branch-CID which filed its closure report on June 27, 2000 on the ground that it could not confirm who had fired. The agency later filed a closure report in the cross-FIR too,” said Talat over shutting down of the case in year 2000.

Aziz challenged the closure report against Adityanath in 2003 but when the local court accepted the report in March this year, Aziz approached the Allahabad High Court, which forwarded the matter to the District Judge Court of Maharajganj in August.

On August 24, court had ordered to issue notice to Adityanath and scheduled September 20 as the next date of hearing. The court on September 20 again directed for issuing the notice to Yogi Adityanath. The court has fixed October 27 as next date for hearing.

Talking on the political front, Talat said that her Congress party has extended full support to her in fighting the case and reaching to the murderer of Satya Prakash Yadav.
