Odisha: Kangaroo court orders mob to shave heads of couple, parade them on streets for love affair

In yet another incident of mob taking the law into their hands, a group of villagers in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district allegedly shaved heads of a couple and paraded them on the streets in front of the villagers. Mob also made a video of the incident and released it on social media.

The incident took place on Saturday night when the boy in his early 30s had gone to Mandua to meet his girlfriend who was ailing for some days. Upon knowing the boy belongs to another community, villagers barged into the girl’s house, caught them together and dragged the two out. They produced the couple at the kangaroo court.

As per decision of the kangaroo court, the villagers forcefully shaved the duo’s head and paraded them on the streets.
