The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night ranks as the ninth-largest in the United States and the fourth-largest overall. It is one position below the billion Mega Millions jackpot that someone won in New Jersey on Tuesday.
The press release states that the subsequent drawing on April 3 now estimates the jackpot at $1.09 billion, with a cash value of $527.3 million.

The announcement states that the jackpot chances are 1 in 292.2 million and the overall odds are 1 in 24.9 million.

One winner bought the second-largest jackpot in history for $1.8 billion in California on October 11, 2023. Three people in California, Florida, and Tennessee shared the third-largest prize in history, which was $1.6 billion.
