Often the festival time brings along a hectic hassled days where arranging festival essentials become a little tough as it needs your time in wise planning and investment. However, the booming everyday technology has come up with solutions to this problem as well.
Right from getting an idol to the puja materials, and even a priest to conduct the rituals, a start-up ‘Puja N Pujari’ introduces a platform for the people to book eco-friendly Ganesha idol.
Founded by Mahesh Kottapalli and Kalpaja Dalavoi Adhikesavulu, the start-up caters to people in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and even in Texas (U.S.A). The company is looking to expand to other cities in India and abroad.
The start-up is offering its customers a new way to celebrate the Ganesha festival. Their Ganesha Habba hampers include an eco-friendly idol, and prayer essentials including flowers, a prayer book, incense sticks and more. All one has to do is simply unbox the festival, said Dr Mahesh Kottapalli, MD, Puja-n-Pujari. “A priest can also be booked according to one’s language preference and budget plan,” added Mahesh.
Other similar platforms such as Smart Puja, House Joy are also seeing increased traffic for booking of priests.
Catching up with the trend, some purohits have got together and formed an online portal called Pandits In Bengaluru. “We have been receiving many calls for Ganesh Chaturthi,” said Amit Pandey, son of one of the priests. The platform offers priests in multiple languages — Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali and Oriya.
