BJP stalwart Kailash Vijayvargiya, who is known as ‘news sensation’ in political circles of Madhya Pradesh, has been seen largely absent from the Madhya Pradesh BJP campaigning sites amidst assembly election. Vijayvargiya, who is an MLA from Mhow in Indore and BJP national general secretary, holds a big support from centre leadership, however, due to series of political drama in the state, the leader has been sidelined in Madhya Pradesh BJP.

Kailash Vijayvargiya has served as a cabinet minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan government till 2015 and later, state BJP started distancing Vijayvargiya from party’s forum. In political circles, it is said that Vijayvargiya, who wanted to become chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, had to leave the state politics due to Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Arvind Menon duo.

The real reason behind Kailash Vijayvargiya’s escape from Madhya Pradesh:

After the Loksabha election 2014, state Congress led by Arun Yadav started a massive campaign against Shivraj Singh Chouhan over Vyapam scam, where a minister of Shivraj’s cabinet Laxmikant Sharma was also arrested, following that there was a big pressure on Shivraj Singh to resign. Amid all these incidents, Kailash Vijayvargiya showcased his chief ministerial ambitions and a rumour waved in Madhya Pradesh that, Kailash Vijayvargiya will surpass Shivraj Singh Chouhan. After the claim of Vijayvargiya reached state leadership, BJP strongman in Madhya Pradesh, Arvind Menon controlled the situation, which was going against Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Arvind Menon, who is known for his organizational skills and a close aide of Shivraj Singh Chouhan played a crucial role in the whole scenario.

In 2014 -15 Menon was serving as BJP’s national general secretary in Madhya Pradesh and straightly gave a clean chit to Shivraj Singh Chouhan over Vyapam Scam and Vijayvargiya’s dream of becoming chief minister collapsed. Since then, Vijayvargiya has taken a back seat in Madhya Pradesh. During the whole Vyapam incident in 2014-2015, Vijayvargiya also made some news for his comments, as he openly remarked various journalists and BJP had to face embarrassment on several occasions.

After all these incidents, Kailash Vijayvargiya is hardly seen in any BJP’s event in Madhya Pradesh and also, till now it is not clear that, whether Vijayvargiya will contest assembly election or not?
