The All-India Senior Selection Committee chose India’s squads for the upcoming Sri Lanka Tour of India, which will take place in January 2023. The tour includes three T20Is and three ODIs.
Rishabh Pant has been left out of both squads because Hardik Pandya will captain the T20I team and Rohit Sharma will captain the ODI team. Virat Kohli, who will miss the T20 series, will also miss the ODI series. Suryakumar Yadav, who has been in top form for India, has been named vice-captain for the T20 series.

Ishan Kishan has been named as a wicketkeeper in both the T20I and ODI squads, while KL Rahul has also been named as a keeper in the 50-over format. Meanwhile, Sanju Samson has been called up to the T20I squad, but only as a batsman.
Mukesh Kumar and Shivam Mavi have both been called up to India’s T20 squad for the first time. In the recently concluded IPL mini auction, Gujarat Titans paid Rs 6 crore for Mavi, while Delhi Capitals paid Rs 5.50 crore for Mukesh from Bengal.
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rahul Tripathi, two IPL powerhouses, were named to the T20 squad.
