Shukra Pradosh Vrat 2022: Worship of Lord Shiva has special significance in Hinduism. It is advised to keep Pradosh fast, dear to Lord Shiva, for any special wish. It is believed that keeping Pradosh fast to get the blessings of Bholenath brings very auspicious results in a person’s life.

Pradosh fast will be observed on Trayodashi of Jyeshtha month. According to astrology, the day on which Pradosh Vrat falls, the name of Pradosh Vrat is named after that. The fast falling on Friday will be called Shukra Pradosh Vrat.

Worshiping Lord Shiva with full devotion and sincere heart on this day fulfills all the wishes of the devotees and removes their sufferings. This fast brings happiness in married life and the person attains salvation after death.

Shukra Pradosh Vrat 2022: Significance

Pradosh Vrat is considered to be one of the most significant times to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva, as per the scriptures. It is said that people who observe a fast on this day will be blessed by the god and be freed from all their sins.

Devotees believe that fasting on Pradosh Vrat will bring them good fortune.

Pradosh Vrat Puja Vidhi:

After getting up in the morning on Trayodashi Tithi, after taking bath, light the lamp and take a vow of fast.

After fasting for the whole day, worship should be done by visiting a temple during Pradosh period.

If you cannot go to the temple, then worship should be done by installing Shivling at the place of worship or clean place of the house. Abhishek should be done on Shivling with milk, curd, honey, ghee and Gangajal.

Worship should be done with incense-lamp, fruits, flowers, naivedya etc.

During worship and abhishek, keep chanting the Panchakshari mantra of Shiva ji Namah Shivaya.
