Vishwakarma Puja is also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti and every year it is celebrated on September 17. It marks the birth of Hindu God Vishwakarma, the Devshilpi or ‘architect of gods’
This day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Hindu god Vishwakarma who was a divine architect.
As per the legends, Vishwakarma built palaces, weapons, and buildings for the gods. On the day of Viswakarma puja, engineers, architects, artisans, carpenters, mechanics, factory workers and other worship the Devashilpi by taking a break from the work.
