Pinky Meena, the then SDM of Bandikui in Rajasthan, demanded a bribe of one lakh rupees for every kilometer from the company that was building the Bharatmala Project (Delhi Mumbai Express Highway) in the Dausa district.
In the first installment, Pinky asked for 6 lakh rupees. But later this amount was raised to 10 lakh as Pushkar Mittal, SDM of the adjacent section Dausa, had also asked for 10 lakh rupees from the company.
This disclosure comes from the four thousand pages of the charge sheet filed in the ACB court. According to the charge sheet, Pinky kept the compensation of farmers for 6 months so that the company could be pressured to give bribes.
Moreover, when the company refused to bribe him, Pinky Meena threatened the company to stop the construction work.
Acquisition of land was with SDM Pinki Meena
The acquisition of land for the Bharatmala Project of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was with the then SDM Pinki Meena in Bandikui. The administration had received the amount of the farmers who were coming under the purview of the project for compensation in lieu of the land.
The amount was to be given to the farmers after the land acquisition process was completed. After this, the highway company was to get possession of the land. Both these works were stuck by Pinky Meena.
The company then complained about Pinky Meena, IPS Manish Aggarwal, and SDM Pushkar Mittal, due to repeated harassment. Pushkar Mittal is currently in jail. Manish Aggarwal has got interim bail for his sister’s wedding, while Pinky Meena has been granted bail by the High Court. IPS Manish Aggarwal is accused of taking a bribe of 38 lakhs from the company.
Pinky Meena, who completed her education from the government school, cleared the RAS exam in the first attempt, but she could not give the interview due to not being 21 years old. Then in 2016 again she cleared the exam with merit. She had got her first posting in Tonk.
