In a gut-wrenching incident, a rickshaw puller in Bihar, to wipe out his family hunger fakes his death by covering his body with a shroud and kept a wreath of flowers on the body.

As reported by Hindustan, Ramdev, a rickshaw puller who hails from Patna district, has to adopt this idea to meet his and his family hunger. His livelihood depends on the money raised by rickshaw pulling in Ara district. However, due to the ongoing lockdown and rise in the coronavirus cases in Bihar, it is difficult to get any ride and arrange food.

Failed to arrange any help, he was forced to fake his death.

The coronavirus cases in Bihar is rising constantly. With 737 new coronavirus cases, the tally of the total number of infections reached 33,511 on Friday. About 600 nurses reinstated on contract at Patna AIIMS had gone on strike since Thursday morning demanding equal pay for equal work. The nurses have returned to work after talks with the hospital administration on the second day of the strike today.

According to the health department, 1,083 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported on July 22. The highest 296 positive cases were reported in Patna. Positive cases have been reported in a total of 35 districts including 120 in Saran, 96 in Gaya, 65 at Begusarai, 56 in Vaishali, 44 in Siwan. So far 20,959 infected have been recovered from the infection in the state. The recovery rate of corona-infected people in the state has reached 66.14%. So far, 4, 19208 samples have been tested in Bihar, wherein 10,120 samples have been tested during the last 24 hours.
