Bihar: Stray dogs enter into Bodh Gaya temple, scare off the devotees

As people prayed on Thursday at the Mahabodhi Temple in Bihar’s Bodh Gaya, a group of street dogs made a lot of noise. The event took place while foreign tourists were praying under the famous Bodhi tree. The quick barking of the dogs scared the worshipers and sent them running in different directions.

The event was caught on tape and then spread like wildfire on social media sites. The video makes it clear that the foreign tourists are praying when the street dogs come in and start barking, which throws off the tourists.

One gate leads into and out of the Mahabodi temple, which is a famous tourist spot that gets a lot of visitors from other countries every year. There are strict safety checks at the gate. Even though there is protection, the threat of street dogs inside the temple has disappointed many visitors.

Sweta Maharathi, who is the secretary of the Bodh Gaya Mahabodhi Temple Management Committee (BTMC), has refused to say anything about what happened. The incident has made people worry about the temple’s safety measures, especially since a lot of foreign tourists come to worship at this holy spot.
