Eid-al-Adha popularly known as Bakrid will be celebrated on July 31 this year. The festival of sacrifice is widely celebrated by Muslims across the world.

Bakrid is observed on the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is the twelfth and the last month in the Islamic calendar. The festival is celebrated to honour the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim due to his strong faith in Allah. On this day, people gather to celebrate the day with feasts, prayers, exquisite clothing, and parades. Many people also take part in the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, there will be a different experience of celebrating festivals as places of worship and large social gatherings are prohibited.
