Gujarat poll campaign: Rahul Gandhi to meet farmers, youth during three-day tour

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will start his three-day campaign in Gujarat’s Saurashtra region on Monday. At first, he will offer prayers at Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka. After visiting the temple, he will hit the road for a tour as part of the party’s election campaign in the state.

Gandhi will interact with farmers, supporters, and workers before finally addressing a rally in the afternoon. He will then proceed to Jamnagar town and will stay there at night.

Next morning, Gandhi will visit towns like Dhrol, Tankara before reaching Rajko The VP will interact with traders and industrialists in Rajkot.

A senior party leader said, “Rahul Gandhi will make a night stay in Rajkot. The next morning he will cover Chotila, Jasdan, Virpur, Jetpur and other towns before concluding the campaign at Khodaldham.”

The Congress is trying hard to win the BJP-ruled state for nearly two decades. Notably, the party saw desertions by many MLAs ahead of the August 8 Rajya Sabha polls.

The home-state of PM Modi is likely to go to the polls by the year-end.
