Congress managed to surpass BJP in the race within two hours of counting. However, the BJP maintained a larger vote share than the Congress. That has changed now. A breakdown of the total votes reveals that the Congress has garnered 43.9% of the vote share, compared to the BJP's 43%.
Reportedly, senior Congress leaders Bhupesh Baghel, Bhupinder Hooda, and Rajiv Shukla are going to Himachal Pradesh as the party nears the majority mark in the assembly elections.
From Chamba, BJP’s Neelam Nayyar is leading against Congress’s Neeraj Nayar. BJP rebel Indira Kapoor is currently way behind with 366 votes till now.
