Kerala: Father beats son for failing to score ‘A Plus’ in 4 of 10 exams; arrested

The boy had scored 'A-plus' in 6 of the 10 subjects, while his father was expecting the top score in all subjects, police said.

Hours after the results of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination results were declared on Monday, a man allegedly beat his son with a wooden handle of a spade for failing to secure ‘A Plus’ in four of the ten recently held SSLC examination.

The incident came to the light when the mother and the son approached police and lodged the complaint, saying that he was hit on the leg. Upon complainant’s statement, a case was registered against the 43-year-old Sabu, a casual labourer hailing from nearby Kilimanoor.

Sabu was produced before a local court and remanded to 14 days judicial custody.

The boy had scored ‘A-plus’ in 6 of the 10 subjects, while his father was expecting the top score in all subjects, police said.

Kerala Board Result 2019

Nearly 4.3 lakh students had appeared for the Kerala SSLC Exam 2019, which were conducted from March 13 to March 27.

In Kerala, the examination conducting body, the Kerala Board of Secondary Education released the 2019 Kerala SSLC Result on the official website.

As per the results, Malapuram emerged to be the top district with passing percentage of 99.33.
