New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party registered a historic victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections 2019. The ruling party is set to register a victory in as many as 303 seats.
The saffron party was able to secure a huge mandate, with none of its Muslim candidates having won the polls. According to an Indian Express report, the party had fielded two Muslim candidates in West Bengal, one in Lakshadweep and three in Kashmir.
Out of total Muslim candidates elected, 25 registered success. Out of them, three are from the Bahujan Samaj Party, another three belong to the Samajwadi Party. Two AIMIM candidates also won their respective constituencies, one of which is senior leader Asaduddin Owaisi, another registered victory from Aurangabad.
