In a tragic incident, five members of a cow vigilante group have been arrested for allegedly beating a migrant worker to death in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district. The victim, Sabir Malik, was suspected of eating beef, leading to the fatal assault on August 27, according to police reports.

Initial investigations reveal that the accused—identified as Abhishek, Mohit, Ravinder, Kamaljit, and Sahil—initially called Malik to a shop by pretending they wanted to sell empty plastic bottles. Upon Malik’s arrival, they assaulted him. When some bystanders intervened, the accused took Malik to another location and continued beating him until he succumbed to his injuries.

Police officials confirmed that all five suspects have been detained, along with two juveniles. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), marking a critical legal step in the ongoing investigation.
