Hesch, while employed at the Department of Justice, assisted in the recovery of over a billion dollars in fraudulent funds for the government and the subsequent payment of whistleblowers who reported the fraud. He has written multiple e-books on detecting and reporting fraud.
He observes that many whistleblowers with legitimate information about government misconduct are unable to report it properly, thereby forfeiting the opportunity to receive rewards.
