Yet another embarrassing incident of outraging a woman’s modesty by disrobing her and parading her naked has come to light where a woman was humiliated by few villagers after her son eloped with a girl.
The incident took place Upli Odan village in Rajasmand district on Wednesday, July 24.
Going by the reports, the victim has claimed that that a group of persons came to her house at around 10.30 pm. She said that 2-3 woman and 4-5 men thrashed her with an iron rod and a bamboo stick. The woman said that the accused held her by her hair and started kicking her. After disrobing her, the accused made the woman parade in the village.
She further claimed that the accused were under the influence of alcohol.
The woman had injuries on her feet, knees and back. She is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Nathdwara.
The police said that they have filed an FIR in relation to the incident. An investigation is underway.
