Rajasthan Government Announces Lower Ujjwala Gas Cylinder Costs: On Wednesday, Bhajan Lal Sharma, the chief minister of Rajasthan, said that gas bottles under the Ujjwala plan will now cost Rs 450 instead of Rs 550 starting January 1. Under the plan, LPG tanks used to cost Rs 500 each.

Sharma said that the lower prices are in line with what the BJP promised voters before the recent state polls. During its campaign in Rajasthan, the BJP promised to give people who were eligible for the Ujjwala plan gas tanks for Rs 450. This was one of the promises it made in the resolution letter. The party sold each of Modi’s claims in the letter of introduction as a promise from him.

The promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan

  • Promise to give gas bottles to people who get help from the Ujjwala plan for Rs 450.
  • Promise to give 2.5 lakh young people government jobs in five years.
  • Promise to raise the amount given out under the Kisan Samman Nidhi to 12,000.
  • There should be one women’s police station in each area, as well as a women’s desk in every police station.
  • Anti-Romeo teams should also be formed.
  • Promise to give bikes to girls who do well on the 12th-grade test.
  • Declare that girls from low-income homes will be able to go to school for free from kindergarten through higher school.
  • As you may know, the Ujjwala plan started selling gas tanks for Rs 500 in April 2023, when Ashok Gehlot was in power. He said he would sell cheaper gas tanks to the public on December 22, 2022, and in April 2023, he kept his word. Before the votes for the state’s legislative body, this step was seen as an important one. But the BJP broke away from this and promised to sell tanks for Rs 450.
