Hazaribagh: Jayant Sinha escaped in a road accident that took place near the Karahi Valley at around 12.30 pm on Friday night. The accident took place when Hazaribagh MP and Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mr Sinha was returning from Ranchi to Hazaribagh.

An ASI in the escort vehicle was seriously injured. Many other associates were also injured. People from the Sikh community going to Jamshedpur helped the escort vehicle.

A limestone trailer was reversed in the valley located on Charley station area NH-33. The fenugreek sacks on the trailer spread on the road. Jayant Sinha’s escort vehicle collided with the sack. However, they did not suffer any harm. Jamadar Ramesh Singh, who was sitting in escort vehicle, got injured. All the police stations in the district were alerted as news of the accident was reported.

Earlier he had inspected the Hazaribagh-Barahi bypass route. During this, the officials of the National Highways Authority took information about the progress of the work and the problems in it. Officials told the minister that land acquisition is a major problem.
