In a yet another shocking incident that surfaced from UP’s Gorakhpur, a 12-year-old girl was gang-raped on Friday evening in front of her parents allegedly by six men who had a dispute with her family over the construction of the drain.
A case was registered on Sunday after which four of the accused who were identified as Veeru Yadav, Jaivir Prasad, Chandan Prasad, and Gautam Prasad. To find the other two named Nitish Kumar and Mukhtar Prasad police have launched a manhunt.
The girl is admitted to the district hospital and her condition is said to be stable for now.
As per the complaint lodged by the girl’s mother, the six men had a longstanding dispute over construction of a drain with the family. The accused allegedly dragged the girl out of her home and raped her turn by turn in front of her father and mother. Both of them were thrashed by them when they tried to resist.
The six of the accused have been booked under the relevant section of Indian Penal code and under Posco act and also under the SC/St act.
The police have said that the raids were on to arrest the two other accused.
