A video of police officer groping his female colleague during an anti-NEET protest in Coimbatore is going viral now. The video from 4 September shows the woman officer trying to distance the male officer’s hands but of no help. The officer can be seen groping the woman officer constantly. The video is going viral on the Internet and people are demanding action against the male officer.
The man is the assistant commissioner of police; the woman is a deputy sub inspector. The incident took place on 4 September when the police were trying to stop the protesters who gathered at Gandhipuram in Coimbatore to protest against the death of 17 year-old student, Anitha. Anitha was running an agitation against NEET. A probe has now been ordered into the incident after the video went viral, but no action has been taken yet.
