Who is Vishnu Deo Sai? On Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced Vishnu Deo Sai’s appointment as the next chief minister of Chhattisgarh, putting an end to a week of anticipation. Former state chief minister Raman Singh put forth his name during a gathering of the party’s recently elected legislatures.

Sai, who was born in the then-Madhya Pradesh town of Kunkuri, Chhatisgarh, on February 21, 1964, had previously served as the party’s state president from 2020 to 2022. His heritage is with the Kanwar tribe.
