Xiaomi Mix Flip: Xiaomi is expected to reveal its new foldable smartphones in both the Chinese and international markets. The NBTC certification has revealed the presence of the Xiaomi Mix Flip clamshell foldable smartphone. Below are the specifics of this upcoming device.
Xiaomi Mix Flip has received NBTC certification.
The NBTC certification has verified that a Xiaomi mobile phone bearing the model number 2405CPX3DG will be introduced in international markets soon. The certification from Thailand’s authority indicates that the smartphone will be launched under the name Xiaomi Mix Flip. In addition to sharing the model number and name, the certification also mentions that the device will support network connectivity up to 5G.
The soon-to-be-released clamshell smartphone was recently seen on the IMDA certification, confirming that it will have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC support. Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, was recently seen using a clamshell smartphone, believed to be the Xiaomi Mix Flip.
The upcoming Mix Flip is expected to be released in China in July, along with the Mix Fold 4, Redmi K70 Ultra, and other devices. Xiaomi is expected to include a foldable inner screen in the Xiaomi Mix Flip, which will have a resolution of 1.5K and a pixel density of 520 PPI.
Features
The upcoming Mix Flip is set to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It is rumored that the smartphone will come with Hyper OS, which is based on Android 14, pre-installed. It seems likely that Thailand will be getting the global version of the clamshell phone, as the model number ends with the letter “G,” which suggests it is a global variant.
Additionally, the device was recently seen on Singapore’s IMDA certification website. The Mix Flip is rumored to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor according to expected specifications. The display is expected to have a 1.5K resolution. The phone is rumored to have a 32MP front camera for selfies and a rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor (possibly the OV50E with a size of 1/1.55 inches) and an OV60A sensor for telephoto functionality.
Furthermore, a 3C certification suggested the presence of 67W fast charging capability, with the battery expected to have a capacity ranging from 4800mAh to 4900mAh. Last month, a listing on the GSMA’s IMEI database indicated that Xiaomi Mix Flip might include satellite connectivity support.
The release date for the Xiaomi Mix Flip has not been specified yet. It is possible that it may be launched before the Xiaomi 15 series, which is rumored to be released in October. Therefore, a launch in August or September is possible.
