In the greed of property and dowry, men often exceed their limits and harass their wives but a bizarre case has come to light which has left all of us in shock. Going by the reports, a Bengaluru man harassed and forced his wife to have sexual relationship with ‘anybody’ in order to have a child, and in turn, inherit the property promised by girl’s father on condition of having a baby.
As reported by The New Indian Express, Manasa (name changed), has been married to Rohit (name changed) from past 9 years, but the woman and her husband are still childless. Father of Manasa, a resident of South Bengaluru, promised to his daughter that he would register a commercial building in Jayanagar in her name only after she had a baby.
Rohit reportedly had some sexual health issues, the couple were unable to conceive a child. This was when Rohit and his parents allegedly started pestering her to ‘sleep’ with anyone even her brother-in-law to bear a child.

Manasa has now filed a complaint with the Basavanagudi police seeking action against her husband and her in-laws. Manasa has alleged that Rohit and his family would regularly beat her up over the issue.
An investigating officer said, “We have taken up a case of dowry harassment, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and attempt to murder against Rohit and his family members and are investigating the case,” the officer added.
