A sensational case of murder has come to the fore in the village Dayalgarh of Qasba Mehta in the district Amritsar. Ten years ago, the uncle-aunt murdered their 23-year-old divorced niece for Rs 4.5 lakh and then buried the body in a mansion. After 10 years of the case, police have now recovered the skeleton of the young woman from the mansion in the presence of a magistrate.
The skeleton has now been sent for a DNA test. This revelation was done by the woman’s brother to the police after he had animosity with his uncle. Ramandeep Kaur was the girl who was allegedly killed by her Uncle-Aunt according to Jagran.
Inspector-in-Charge of Thana Mehta, Manjinder Singh said that a case of murder has been registered against the accused uncle Pargat Singh and aunt Ranjit Kaur. The skeleton has been captured to conduct DNA tests. It will be ascertained whether a skeleton is of Ramandeep Kaur or someone else.
Aunt- Uncle murdered niece because of money
Dayalgarh resident Nirvur Singh told the police that he lived in the same house with his parents and sister Ramandeep Kaur, Uncle Pargat Singh, and Aunt Ranjit Kaur. In the year 2008, her sister was divorced and she received Rs 4.5 lakh from her husband. After the divorce, the sister was living with her son. The uncle and aunt then borrowed 4.5 lakh rupees from Ramandeep as their economic condition was not good.
Nirvur said that two years later, Ramandeep started asking for money from her uncle and aunt, but they refused to give it back. In February 2011, Uncle Pargat Singh, along with his wife, murdered Ramandeep and buried the body in the mansion.
Later, they lodged a complaint with the police about the disappearance of Ramandeep. So, no one would doubt that the uncle and aunt had murdered their niece.
The police station in Incharge Manjinder Singh said that Nirvur has now informed the police of this murder due to his enmity with the uncle. Nirvur is also feared to be involved in this murder. The police are investigating the matter. Notably, Nirvur during the incident was with the accused uncle-aunt.
