Bihar Caste Census Data: In order to determine the number of castes present in Bihar, Caste enumeration in Bihar began in January of this year.

Phases of the enumeration were conducted, with the first taking place in January and the second in April.

The Patna High Court temporarily halted counting in the middle of it; however, the stay was eventually lifted, and counting resumed.

Bihar caste enumeration takes place in two parts, as I previously stated. The counting is done offline in the first phase, however it has been uploaded to the BIJAGA app for the Bihar Caste Based Enumeration in the second phase.

The collected data has now been successfully transferred to the Bijaga App, according to the general administration department’s authorities, who made this announcement on Wednesday.

Beltron Experts will now thoroughly examine these facts, and following that, the required actions will be done.

Apparently, Patna has 13.69 million families.

According to the initial tally, Patna has 13.69 lakh families, while the district as a whole has 73,52,729 inhabitants.

Additionally, 3532 families lack a home of their own in the district.

Different information was gathered for the Bihar Caste Census, including religion, economic background, and family members (residing inside or outside the state).

Why is Bihar Caste Census Data Necessary?

The government claims that caste information enables it to develop better social programs and policies to break down socioeconomic barriers between people.

The Centre carried out the socioeconomic caste census in 2011, but due to serious flaws, the data was never made public.

We therefore lack up-to-date information about the various castes in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar stated that it is time to boost the 50% caste quota back in November of last year because the existing quota denies OBCs and EBCs chances based on their demographic.
