Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav reprimands medical official during surprise hospital visit

Tejashwi Yadav, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, arrived at Hajipur Sadar Hospital in Vaishali at approximately 1:00 a.m. and discovered a state of utter mismanagement.

Tejashwi Yadav unexpectedly visited the facility and conducted an inspection that lasted for over twenty minutes. Regarding the dormant senior physicians and security officers stationed within the hospital, he reprimanded Deputy Civil Surgeon Hariprasad.

Tejashwi Yadav arrived at Sadar Hospital to inspect the construction of the new building. He inspected the hospital while paying visits to the emergency center, the outpatient department, and the guard room. Tejashwi Yadav stated, while reprimanding Deputy Civil Surgeon Hariprasad, that the security officers were asleep when he arrived. He directed that the security firm that deployed the officers be placed on a blacklist.

Tejashwi Yadav further scolded Hariprasad over the absence of doctors in the hospital and held him accountable for the same. Speaking to ANI, Tejashwi Yadav said “I came here to check ground reality, whether the money allotted is used effectively or not and if the people are reaping its benefits or not. It is important to inspect otherwise we won’t know about the ground reality. We are here to serve the people.”

“Many things have been bettered but more improvement is needed. We brought a referral policy. We want the patient load in Patna to be reduced. That is why, we are trying to improve Sadar Hospital. We want to facilitate patients here. However, doctors need to adhere to their roles and responsibilities. They must work with full honesty”, added Tejashwi Yadav.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar presided over a review meeting concerning the renovation and redevelopment of the Moin-ul-Haq stadium in Patna on Thursday. In addition to other world-class amenities, the Deputy Chief Minister has put forth a proposal for a stadium that will feature a sports complex, a five-star hotel, a restaurant, improved drainage and parking systems, and access to the Patna Metro. Further action was to be taken after the DPR work was completed within two weeks, as per the instructions.
