Robbers Return Stolen Lord Hanuman’s Idol: A group of thieves who recently stole the idol and mace of Lord Hanuman from a temple in the Bhilai district of Chhattisgarh returned the stolen items.

Saturday early morning, the village of Kurud in the district of Bhilai reported a peculiar incident.

A month ago, according to a report on Patrika.com, thieves seized the mace of Lord Hanuman from the temple. At the Jamul police station, a case was lodged against unidentified thieves under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The priest and caretakers of the temple lodged the complaint. Later, the thieves stole Lord Hanuman’s idol.

Last Friday, the thieves had a change of heart and returned Lord Hanuman’s idol and sceptre. They also presented the idol with flowers and Lord Hanuman’s sceptre.

When the temple’s custodian arrived in the morning to open the temple, he discovered a Lord Hanuman statue and a mace on the staircase.

Lord Hanuman’s statue and the sceptre were reinstalled in the temple in accordance with Hindu traditions and customs.

On the occasion, several villagers and caretakers, including Nand Kumar Pal, Anil Sen, Manish Sen, Bhola Sahu, Nandupal, Raman Jaangde,Neeraj Nishad, Anil Sonavani, Prashu Nishad, Keval Sahu, Chitrangad Nishad, Himanshi Sahu, Keval Sahu, Omkar Sahu, Mukesh Sahu, Manoj Markande, Harsh Devangan and Tushar Patel, were present.

Identical occurrence in Uttar Pradesh

On May 20, 2022, robbers returned 14 of the 16 idols they stole from the Lord Balaji temple in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.

In addition to returning the idols, the thieves left a note explaining that terrifying visions compelled them to act. Additionally, they asked for pardon for stealing the idols.
