Kollam: According to reports, the suspect in the forgery case, Nikhil Thomas, attempted to escape to Tamil Nadu. According to reports, Thomas intended to flee from Kottarakkara to Tamil Nadu via Tenkasi. The police are investigating this incident.
After preliminary questioning, the police asserted that he was apprehended while travelling from Kozhikode to Kottarakkara. He was on the run for five days, and the police are also investigating who assisted him.
Thomas was arrested early on Friday morning on suspicion of submitting a forgery to gain MCom admission at Milad-E-Sherif Memorial (MSM) College in Kayamkulam.
Thomas was previously suspended from MSM College for possessing a fraudulent diploma. Thomas allegedly submitted a bogus degree certificate from Chhattisgarh’s Kalinga University for admission to the graduate programme.
