In a distressing incident, a police officer was detained after a ninth-grade girl admitted to the hospital for abdominal pain was discovered to be expectant. Dileep (44), a Marayamuttom-based civil police officer stationed at the Idukki Marayoor police station, has been apprehended.
After the girl was brought to the hospital with abdominal agony, medical tests revealed that she was pregnant.
The medical personnel notified Child Line employees. The Aryancode Police opened an investigation and detained the accused officer in Marayur.
