5:00 PM| JDU released its manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections on Thursday. The party’s vision document was released by JD(U) state president Bashistha Narain Singh. The manifesto was released with the slogan “poore hote vaade, ab hain naye irade.”


3:45 PM| Deputy chief minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus disease on Thursday afternoon. The BJP leader took to Twitter and announced the same, he has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Patna. Modi said that his parameters are perfectly normal adding that he will be back soon for campaigning.


1:30 PM| Telangana’s first home minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy passed away at  86 due to post-Covid-19 complications in Hyderabad Wednesday night.


12:45 PM| Pakistan National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Law and Justice has approved a bill that seeks a review of the conviction of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, who has been sentenced to death by a military court.


11:10 AM| The BJP has promised free coronavirus vaccine to all in the state. It added that three lakh teachers will be hired. Besides, AIIMS will come up in Darbhanga by 2024.


11:05 AM| The BJP has promised 19 lakh jobs to the people of Bihar in the next five years. Revealing the ‘sankalp patra’ in Patna, Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the BJP government, if returns to power after the elections, will provide pucca house to 30 lakh people before 2022.


11:00 AM| The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday released its manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar on Thursday. The election document was unveiled by Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and senior leaders Bhupender Yadav, Nityanand Rai, Ashwini Choubey, and Pramod Kumar.


10:40 AM| The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) has become the second position amongst the world’s safest airports. The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) said that ‘Safe Travel Barometer’ has certified Delhi airport as the second safest airport for effective implementation of coronavirus health and safety protocols.

“Close on the heels of Singapore Changi Airport, which scored 4.7 out of 5, Delhi’s IGI Airport has bagged the second position in the ‘Safe Travel Barometer’s’ list by scoring 4.6,” DIAL said in a statement.


10:15 AM| India’s coronavirus count has touched 77.06 with a jump of 55,839 cases in the last 24 hours, government data shows. 702 deaths in the last 24 hours have pushed the total death count to 1,16,616.

68,74,518 people in the country have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic. The country has been reporting a steady decline in its daily coronavirus infections after reaching a peak of about 90,000 cases a day in September.


Chirag Paswan, in a series of tweets today, targeted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over what he called five years of corruption and pledged to send all those involved to jail if he came to power after the state election starting next week.

“For the implementation of development works, the state government must be honest. In the past five years, in Nitish Kumar’s rule, there were only scams in the bureaucracy and in Saat Nishchay. After we come to power I will have Saat Nishchay investigated and send those responsible to jail,” Chirag Paswan tweeted.
