Tripura Sundari, also known as Kharchi Baba or Kharchi, the goddess of the royal lineage, is the major focus of the event.

The Kharchi Puja, also known as the Festival of Gods, started on June 26 and will end on July 2, 2023. It is a significant event dedicated to Chaturdasha Devta, the Tripuri people’s ancestor god.

The fourteen gods that make up the Tripuri dynasty deity are worshipped during the important festival known as the Kharchi Puja. It is a vivid show of religious enthusiasm and cultural legacy that draws thousands of followers from all across the nation. This event offers a chance to take in huge celebrations, from the rumbly pounding of drums to the fragrant incense at temples. The goddess is said to be the reigning divinity of the region and to guard the people of Tripura. 15 days after Ambu Bachi or Ambu Pechi, the event is held. Ambu Pechi is said to symbolise the Goddess’ or Mother Earth’s menstrual cycle in Tripuri tradition.
