On the basis of a tip, the man identified as Jitendra Sahani was detained in the village of Gobarahiya.

The station house officer (SHO) of the Naurangiya police station, Rajesh Kunar Jha, informed the media that the detained individual had been turned over to the forest department.

The SHO stated, “We have turned over the arrested man to the forest department along with the bones.”

Nesamani K, conservator and field director of VTR, reacted to the news by stating, “These bones appear to be quite old, but their origin could not be determined immediately. However, bones are being sent to the Wildlife Institute of India (WWI) in Dehradun in order to determine what animal these skeletons belong to.”

A forest official stated that they are monitoring the forest’s activities.

We believe that tigers, leopards, and bears are most susceptible to exploitation. Nonetheless, nothing is left to coincidence. A number of home guard jawans, five rangers and seventeen wireless stations have been set up to raise the alarm, should it be necessary, according to the forest official.
