A 15-year-old girl was allegedly set on fire by two gangrape accused at her house in a village which falls under the Sadar Police Station of Bhiwani district in Haryana.
Both the accused have been booked in a case of murder registered at Sadar Police station.
It is reported that the police have arrested a 22-year-old man, who was the main accused in the rape. The further investigation are on, said SHO Sadar Shri Bhagwan Yadav.
Meanwhile, the victim’s body was handed over to her family after the post-mortem examination.
The police said that they are looking for the uncle of the accused boy for rape and murder case.
According to the information, the boy accused is said to be a distant relative of the victim. He along with his uncle had been allegedly abusing the girl for the past one year. All this became known on July 13 when the girl’s father filed a case of rape against the duo.
Sources said that the accused and his family had been planning to settle the score with the girl and her parents.
“We got the intimation from Rohtak during late hours. Accordingly, a case was registered and one of the accused was arrested. Initially, we have arrested him in the POCSO and rape case.
Since accused in both the cases are same, hence adequate action shall follow,’’ the SHO said.
