Muharram 2023: Tazia, also known as Ta’zieh or Taziya, refers to a replica of the tomb of Imam Hussain. It implies consolation, condolence, or expression of sorrow. It derives from the root aza, which signifies grief. Depending on place, time, occasion, and religion, the word signifies a diversity of cultural practises:
