The police told a national daily that there is little they could do in this case as the couple is adults

In a perplexing incident, a 30-year-old man faked his religious identity and hired people to pose as parents and relatives in his second wedding so that he can con and marry a girl from a different community.

The man concealed his identity for several days until one morning the bride’s father woke up to find cash and jewelry missing from the house. The agitated father filed a case and alleged that Imran Bhati who is already married with three kids, posed as Kabir Sharma to marry his daughter.

In the matter, the police told a national daily that there is little they could do in this case as the couple is adults. The father in the FIR has alleged “ I gave Rs 11 lakh in cash, jewelry worth Rs 5 lakh and other gifts worth Rs 1.5 lakh to Imran on the wedding day. He was posing as Kabir Sharma a native of Jaipur and took part in all the rituals.” He told the cop that the accused took part in all the wedding rituals posing as Hindu.

The complaint also said that that all through the wedding ceremonies fake guests posing as relatives and friends kept coming.
