Shahabuddin’s Son Osama Arrested in Rajasthan: Osama Shahabuddin, the son of Bihar gangster-turned-politician Mohammad Shahabuddin, was released on parole by a court in Kota, Rajasthan, on Tuesday (October 17). Subsequently, he was transferred to the Bihar Police team in connection with a property-related matter, according to police.

On Monday, Osama, former RJD MP and son of Bihar gangster-politician Shahabuddin, was arrested in the company of his two companions, Saif and Wasim. A bail application was approved by an SDM court in the municipality of Ramganjmandi, Kota district.
According to the police, Osama and his companions were apprehended in Kota after exhibiting suspicious behavior at a checkpoint in Pundwa. Three males were operating a vehicle bearing the registration number Delhi. Berwal stated that the police apprehended them for interrogation under section 151 subsequent to the interrogation because their responses were suspicious.

Osama and his companions informed the police that they were traveling to Goa from Delhi.
Bihar police informed the Rajasthan Police that Osama and Saif had been arrested in connection with a property dispute in Siwan approximately ten days prior.
Ranganjmandi Police Station SHO Manoj Berwal stated that Osama and Saif were later turned over to Bihar Police. The two were sought in a property-related case that was registered earlier this month in the Siwan district.
Additionally, Osama was charged with the murder of Rajiv Roshan, a local BJP leader and key witness in the August 16, 2004 murder of two brothers in Siwan. Sahabuddin was incarcerated on June 16, 2014, when the witness was fatally shot in Siwan. It was alleged that Osama murdered Rajiv. The former member of parliament was subsequently charged as a conspirator in the case. Former Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) member of parliament Shahabuddin passed away in 2021 from COVID-19 while serving a life sentence for homicide.
