Asus Adol PM310 portable SSD: Asus has launched a new portable storage device in China called the Adol High Speed Solid State USB Drive (PM310). It works like a regular USB flash drive, but it uses solid-state storage inside. That means it can move files faster than an old-school thumb drive. The main job of this little gadget is to help people share files between devices that do not use the same USB type.
Two Ends and a Small Body
The PM310 has a simple but smart design. One end has a USB-A connector and the other end has a USB-C connector. So it can be used with older desktop computers on one side and newer phones, tablets, and laptops on the other side. No extra adapter is needed.

Asus also gave it a metal body, and the drive measures 82 x 20 x 7.5mm. It weighs 42.9g, so it is small enough to carry every day without feeling bulky. There is also a flip cap built in to protect the connectors when the drive is not being used.
Speed and Device Support
Inside, the drive uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface. Asus says it can reach sequential read speeds of up to 500MB/s. That is not the fastest speed in the world, but for a tiny portable solid-state drive like this, it is still pretty strong. The PM310 also works in a plug-and-play way with macOS, Android, HarmonyOS, and iOS or iPadOS. So it is made to be easy for many kinds of users.
Price
Asus is selling the drive in four storage sizes.
- The 128GB model costs 280 yuan, which is about $41.
- The 256GB version is priced at 409 yuan, around $60.
- The 512GB model costs 629 yuan, about $92.
- The top 1TB version is listed at 959 yuan, which is about $141.
