Bihar Exit Polls 2020 LIVE Updates: A consolidated list of five exit polls suggested that NDA and grand alliance – which campaigned aggressively in bitterly fought Bihar polls – are expected to finish very close to each other.
CNN-IBN-Today’s Chanayka has give 180 seats to grand alliance and just 55 to NDA, Dainik Bhaskar has said the NDA is projected to win 120-127 seats whereas grand alliance will get anywhere between 71-81, NewsX-Dvresearch said the NDA tally could remain between 110-117 and grand alliance’s between 108-123, Republic TV-Jan Ki Baat predicted 91-117 seats for NDA and 118-138 fr grand alliance and finally, forecast by Times Now-C-Voter said the NDA is expected to win 116 and grand alliance 120. The counting of votes will be held on November 10.
Voting in the third and final phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2020 is set to conclude soon. The voting started at 7 am and ill seal the fate of 1,204 candidates fighting for 78 Assembly constituencies. The Bihar Assembly Elections were held in three phases, the first two phases were held on October 28 and November 3. The votes will be counted on November 10. The two main players in the Bihar polls are JDU-led NDA and RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, apart from LJP which is trying to test its luck individually while hoping for a post-poll alliance with the BJP.
Key players in Bihar assembly polls 2020
On the one side of the main stakeholders is the ruling combine of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which includes Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal-United (115 seats), the Bharatiya Janata Party (110 seats), the Vikassheel Insaan Party (11 seats) and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (7 seats).
On the other is the opposition’s Mahagathbandhan mainly comprising Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (144 seats) and the Congress (70 seats). Other allies include the CPI-ML (19 seats), CPI (6 seats) and the CPIM (4 seats).
Part of the NDA at the Centre, the Lok Janshakti Party formed by the late union minister Ram Vilas Paswan and currently led by his son, Chirag, has gone solo in the state, citing differences with the JDU.
The India Today-Axis prediction, released just now, says Tejashwi Yadav led-RJD will have an advantage in the Bihar Assembly election. The exit poll has predicted 69-91 seats for NDA, 139-161 for grand alliance and 3-5 for LJP. This is the sixth exit poll to release its predictions for the Bihar polls. Three of the five exit polls had earlier predicted a close contest, but gave an edge to grand alliance.
CNN News 18-Todays Chanakya has predicted a clean win for the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan. The exit poll has predicted 180 seats for the Oppn alliance, much higher than the majority mark of 122, and only 55 seats for the ruling NDA.

47% young voters (18-25 years) said they voted for the Mahagathbandhan, while 34% said they voted for the NDA. The pattern changes among those older than 50 years, with 45% of the voters saying they voted for the NDA, and 40% voting for the Mahagathbandhan.
The India TV Axis Poll has projected that 31-year-old Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD is the most preferred candidate for Bihar's next Chief Minister. Here's how others are placed.

According to the Republic TV exit poll, the BJP-led NDA is expected to win anywhere between 91-117 seats in Bihar, while RJD and Congress-led grand alliance could graner 118-138 seats. The LJP is expected to win 5-8 seats, according to Republic TV exit poll
The exit poll numbers released Times Now-C-Voter, say that the NDA will win 116 of the 243 seats, and the grand alliance will win 120. So, it is going to be a hung house, predicts Times Now-C-Voter exit poll. The LJP is expected to win one seat, and others six, it further said.
The Shivraj Singh Chauhan government will survive the bypoll test as India Today-Asix My India Exit Poll predicts that the BJP will win 16 to 18 seats out 28 that went to bypoll on November 3. The predicted vote share for the saffron party will be 46 per cent.
According to India Today-Axis My India Exit Poll, Congress will secure 43 per cent votes in MP Bypoll which will translate to 10 to 12 seats. BSP is likely to secure 1 seat.
In 2015, Rashtriya Janata Dal had emerged as the largest single party with 80 seats. The RJD had fought the election with the Janata Dal (United) and the Congress. They won 71 seats and 27 seats respectively, giving the alliance a comfortable majority in the state.
Their key rival at the time, the Bharatiya Janata Party had secured 53 seats. The LJP and RLSP had won two each. The HAM had won one seat while independents took 4.
Two years later, JDU broke ties with RJD and Congress and returned to the NDA camp, giving way for a JDU-BJP government in the state once again.
