In a shocking yet bizarre incident, a woman and her boyfriend’s wife came together to kill her husband at his residence on Monday after he vowed to kill her lover.
The two women identified as Gayathri (28) and Banu (28) had choked a sleeping Nagraj before strangulating him. They have been arrested and a search is underway for Banu’s husband Mahendran.
Nagaraj (28), autorickshaw driver lived with his wife Gayathri and their two children in Nerkundram. The woman was in a relationship with 30-year-old Mahendran who is a fish cart driver and her husband’s friend.
After Nagaraj caught them together recently and he demanded that they end the affair and vowed to murder her lover when they refused.
Post the incident, Nagaraj lived alone and his wife and children moved in with her sister. Last week, the man brought back his wife and children home and told all his friends that he would not hesitate to kill Mahendran who had betrayed him.
Gayathri then spoke about her relationship with Bany who has said to accept the relationship and the two of them decided to eliminate Nagaraj so that they could live with Mahendran.
Gayathri’s brother found Nagaraj dead and informed the police. Police detained Gayathri who revealed the plot. The arrested women are set to be remanded in judicial custody.
