GT IPL 2023 Retention: Gujarat Titans (GT) have announced their roster for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction, which takes place on Tuesday.
The defending champion will be led by skipper Hardik Pandya in a squad that has kept its core intact ahead of the IPL 2023 mini-auction on December 23 in Kochi. GT has released six players, four of whom are from outside the United States. Jason Roy and Dominic Drakes have been released, while Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz have been traded to the Kolkata Knight Riders. Other players who have been released include Varun Aaron and Gurkeerat Singh.
Following the retentions, Hardik Pandya’s men will have INR 19.75 crore left in the bank. It can also fill up to three international slots.
The teams have an additional Rs 5 crore to spend in the upcoming auction, which will be held in Kochi on December 23, in addition to the purse from the previous auction and the value of the players each side has released, bringing the total purse tally to Rs 95 crore.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked all ten franchises to submit a list of retained and released players by November 15, while the IPL 2023 mini-auction will take place on December 23 in Kochi.
