Transfer Posting in Bihar: The government of Nitish Kumar issued an order for the reassignment of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and forty Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) officers on Sunday. Kumar Nishant Vivek, an IAS officer from the 2020 cohort who was previously assigned as the sub-divisional officer of Kahalgaon Bhagalpur, has been appointed as the sub-divisional officer of Sonpur in the Saran district. Under the Code of Criminal Procedure, he has also been granted the authority of Executive Magistrate for the subdistrict.
