Guru Ghasi Das Teachings
The Guru’s teachings and philosophy are much like Sikhism. Guru Ghasidas created an image of reality referred to as “jaitkhambh” – a white-painted log of timber, with a white flag on the top. The shape indicates a white guy who follows the truth “Satnam” is usually steadfast and is the pillar of fact (Satya ka stambh). The white flag suggests peace.
Ghasi Das instigated a socio-spiritual order that discarded and helped in demolishing the hierarchical caste system from the society. This new order initiated by Ghasi Das through Satnamis concepts dealt with everyone as equal. Satnami principles country that ‘there is only one God’, that is defined as formless and limitless.
The spiritual career of Ghasi Das steadily moved to a brand-new stage while he withdrew to the forest for 6 months after which he returned to evangelize a new spiritual doctrine. Ghasi Das requested his followers to discard idol worship and all that was demanding.
From a very early age, Ghasi Das rejected social discrimination and tried to sort out the problems confronted by means of the backward community for locating solutions. And for this reason, Ghasi Das traveled expansively within the undivided state of Madhya Pradesh.
