Breaking: Rahul Gandhi announces Minimum Income Guarantee if voted to power

While speaking at Kisan Rally in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi announced, that “In 2019 Congress-led government” will provide “Minimum Income Guarantee”. He said, “Every poor of the country is going to get Minimum income in his bank account. No one in India will remain without food, no one will remain poor.”

Calling it a historic decision Rahul Gandhi claims that no government in the world has taken this decision.

The announcement comes days after Congress chief appointed Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Jyotiraditya Scindia as AICC Genereal Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East and Uttar Pradesh West respectively. In an official notice released, it was notified that “Honourable Congress president has appointed Shrimati Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East,” who will be taking charge with effect in the first week of February.

In the run-up to the elections of the five states in November-December 2018, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi had said that he would change the Chief Minister if they don’t waive off farmer loans in ten days after the coming of the results. Following wins in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan loans were waived off soon after the election results were announced.

On his inaugural Republic Day as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Bhagel at an event in capital Raipur had announced his decision to waive irrigation tax of worth Rs 207 crores on farmers.
